Dog Bite Claims

Have you been bitten by an animal?

If you have been injured as a result of a dog bite or other animal attack, you may be entitled to claim compensation for your injuries.

Dog bites, unfortunately, commonly happen to children and we can assist in recovering compensation for a child who has suffered injury as a result.

Dog owners and animal owners have a legal responsibility to ensure that their dog or animal does not cause harm or injury to others. Each animal owner has a responsibility to keep their pet under control and to ensure it does not act in an aggressive manner.

The Animals Act 1971 makes the person in possession of the dog liable to pay compensation if an injury is caused. Under the Dangerous Dogs Act 1991, certain restrictions apply to certain breeds such as Pit Bull terriers, Japanese tosa and other dogs that were bred for fighting. Some dogs should always wear a muzzle in a public place. However, any dog breed may cause harm or injury to persons.

Dog bites can cause both physical and psychological damage. Contact us to help you make a claim to obtain the compensation you deserve.

The dog attack may take place in a public place or at somebody's home. Either way, we can advise you if you can make a claim for compensation.
